Hi, I'm Sakshi Hanwat
I design and build reliable, scalable web applications — clean architecture on the backend, careful polish on the front.
A little about how I build things

Projects I've built
AnnaSetu
AnnaSetu is a food donation platform that bridges the gap between restaurants with surplus food, NGOs, and volunteers — reducing food wastage by making donation listing, matching, and pickup coordination fast and reliable.
- Built secure JWT-based authentication connecting NGOs, restaurants, and volunteers on one platform.
- Designed REST APIs in Spring Boot for donation listings, matching, and pickup coordination.
- Modeled a relational schema in PostgreSQL to track donors, requests, and delivery status.
- Restructured the codebase into a clean monorepo for streamlined frontend-backend development.
Abhaya
Abhaya (Sanskrit for "fearless") is a comprehensive women's safety app combining real-time SOS alerts, live location tracking, an AI safety chatbot, and safe-route finding — wrapped in a Mandala-inspired UI. Built for the OSEN VIBECODE Hackathon.
- Built a 5-second SOS countdown that saves the alert to Supabase and notifies contacts via WhatsApp and SMS.
- Integrated Devi, an AI safety chatbot powered by Groq's Llama 3.1, with automatic Hindi/English detection.
- Implemented safe-route finding via OpenRouteService, scoring routes by safety, speed, and lighting.
- Designed 8-language support and a Mandala-inspired UI using Next.js, TypeScript, and Framer Motion.
ImagineX
ImagineX is a full-stack MERN application that lets anyone generate high-quality AI images from a simple text prompt. Users can preview their creation instantly, download it, or share it to a public community gallery, with images stored via Cloudinary and metadata saved in MongoDB.
- Built a text-to-image generation pipeline using Pollinations AI, converting output to Base64 for instant preview.
- Designed REST APIs in Express to handle image generation and community post creation.
- Modeled a MongoDB schema (via Mongoose) to store prompts, creator names, and Cloudinary image URLs.
- Deployed frontend on Netlify and backend on Render, connected through Axios-based API calls.
NIYUKTAi
NIYUKTAi is an AI-powered recruitment CRM built around a single autonomous agent that parses resumes, scores candidates against job descriptions, and drafts outreach emails — cutting manual screening time dramatically. Built for the Vercel Zero to Agent Hackathon.
- Built an autonomous pipeline that parses PDF resumes and scores candidates across skills, experience, and relevance.
- Used Groq's Llama 3.3 70B to auto-decide Shortlist / Hold / Reject and draft personalized emails.
- Integrated Gmail MCP via Vercel AI Gateway to send recruiter emails directly from the agent.
- Designed a Kanban pipeline, candidate comparison view, and bias-audit trail with Supabase and Next.js.
Needyfy
Needyfy helps NGOs digitize paper surveys and match volunteers to community needs in real time — cutting coordination time from 4-6 hours down to under 30 minutes. Built for the Google Solution Challenge.
- Built an AI survey scanner using Gemini Vision to extract location, urgency, and category from photos or PDFs.
- Implemented smart volunteer matching by skill and location with instant notifications.
- Built a real-time urgency heatmap on Google Maps and a drag-and-drop Kanban task board.
- Designed an NGO dashboard with live Firebase stats and an analytics view with leaderboards.
VoterLens
VoterLens is a civic-education platform that gives anyone a personalized, conversational guide to their country's election process — with real-time Q&A, misinformation fact-checking, and civic quizzes.
- Built a conversational AI election assistant powered by Gemini across 5 structured learning paths.
- Shipped a fact-checker that verifies election-related claims as True, Misleading, or False in real time.
- Designed an 8-question civic quiz with badge tiers and voice input support.
- Implemented Firebase Auth with Google, email, and phone OTP sign-in across protected routes.
